Hi Ed,
Are you still using the Kodak DCS560 or have you go over to the 1D now. I am still using both a DCS620 and 520 plus a 10D, but my preferance is the 620 despite the lower MP. Some good shots in your 2005 gallery. Ian

Hi Ed, The Nikkor 400/3.5 is a good lens, and does well. Focusing is surprisingly fast and easy and the lens works wonderfully on a monopod, and can be shot hand-held for short periods of time also. www.cameraquest.com sells the N-EOS adapter which allows Nikon lenses to be used on Canon EOS bodies. The 400/3.5 would be a good lens to use with your 10D or your Kodak D-SLR. I hope you get the lens soon and enjoy it immensely. Lovely Masha galleries you have. It's so wonderful to see Glastnost and the new freedoms in Russia now. Take care, let me know if there are questions you have! Derrel www.pbase.com/derrel

Hi
Good shots here and there in your galleries. Funny to look at the Moscow pics, all apartment buildings look the same, the same style as in Petersburg.

You have couple of times traveled to Kazakstan/Uzbekistan/Georgia. Haven't you gone to Turkmenistan? Just wondering going to these places hopefully soon, at least Georgia in January.

Great to have stumbled upon your Russian photographs! I love them. They depict a place that I hate AND love so much. And to top that, you take those pictures well! I will be visiting more often! Keep them comming!!

Great Camera - feels a lot more substantial and comfortable than the 10D, a lot cheaper as well (but only 2 megapixels) - it does however have faster (1n class) AF, Spot metering and a 150K shutter actuation lifetime.... it also looks cool!

Hey, I also really enjoyed seeing your pictures. They dont look like postcards, they look like a regular persons pictures, which gives a much more genuine look at your surroundings. Thanks! Also, that Masha is one pretty girl!

Hello Ed,

I enjoyed your photographs very much, particularly the ones in your "Travels to Georgia" album. Keep taking them! Photos like yours help people like me (who live on the other side of the world) get an idea of what life is like where you live.
