Message from Derrel
Hello,and welcome to my pBase upload site. Once in a while I get lucky and make a picture I'm happy with. But usually, I'm very critical of my work and I'm seldom 100 percent satisfied with a photo I've made, and that keeps me trying. Here are some pics of my friends and family and people I know.
Many of my photos are designed as either "example" or "instructional" photos, and those have captions in which I try to focus attention on the technical,practical, or the equipment-related considerations that I feel were pertinent to the making of said photographs. In a general sense, this site is about the hobby and craft of photography,and is not designed as a showcase of my photography skills or my portfolio; if this site were designed as a showcase or a portfolio, I would display perhaps at most 25 images, and not the 6,483 photographs I currently have on display. (formerly 5,332 photos ;formerly 4,354 photos; formerly 3,894 photos!)
