Rich - I love the photos you took using the Canon 10-22 lens and just got one myself. I was wondering if you keep a UV/haze/warming filter on your lens? Have you noticed any vignetting? or are you using the slim 3mm versions of the filters? Love your photos! Thanks! Diana

Richard, my husband and come down to Spencer WV a couple of times a year. We always stop in at the Y Restaurant in Arnoldsburg. Love your photos their wall, especially the old barn.

Thanks Rich for your nice comment on my turkey image... I have been keeping and eye on this Tom, he has one of the longest beards of all the Toms in this local flock. I only hunt them with my camera, but in years past It was a spring ritual to go turkey hunting. In some ways I miss it but to get with in camera range is just as challenging. I hung up my fire arms and no longer hunt...

Hello Rich, A good friend of mine, Joann Erickson steared me to your galleries and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your photography. I'm a big fan of old stick-built barns, largely as a result of many I saw when I lived back east in Virginia and West Virginia. I love that old back road through the cranberry glades, and the entire state of West Virginia. We drove that road once in the wintertime enroute from Virginia into Cowen and on to Little Birch and Sutton. Now THAT was an adventure! We occasionally used that route in the summertime when wild salsify reared their feathered heads, and made up wild stories about the precise squares of stone in the bed of the river. Most often, we took the 'northern route' through the Monongahela Forest, past Seneca Rocks and down through Buchannon on to Braxton County. How I miss the days when my family and I spent time in those gorgeous hills and forests. Those days are long gone, and I have been in farthest West Texas for 22 years in May; but my heart aches to go back. How I love those West Virginia Hills ! I don't know how to pick a favorite. They are all captivating, inviting and absolutely wonderful! I could look at them all day long. One of my favorite sites! Keep up the great work! PS....would love to see more wildlife....catch some horses in action...or maybe even take some shots of people sitting on benches, in doorways, etc...Just keep on taking those photos!!! I just can't wait to look thru them over and over and see something new each time!!!

The grandbaby is a mirror image of her daddy isn't she! She is really a little doll. I really enjoyed viewing your pictures. We don't get back to WV much...now when I want to see something besides sand and Palmetto trees, it's only a click away....mountains, fall leaves, birds and flowers....you've got it all.

Thanks for your comment on my butterfly photograph. I really enjoyed your butterfly and damsel fly gallary. I took about 40 shots of a damsel fly the other night but the wind was blowing and I didn't get 1 keeper, oh well. Very nice gallery.
