Frank" Dear Frank - I cannot believe that you are not a Professional Photographer..as I am sure, you may be now for that was in 2001. I do the same thing, keep a camera or video camera AND Binoculars in my car for those most spectacular moments... I fell upon your website doing a search for "Newburyport,Ma" pictures and to my surprise, there were all of your pics and they are just astonishing.. I used to live in Newburyport and took many pics of the city but obviously not as good as yours.. Thanks for sharing them and for an amateur, you could have fooled me ! Great work.. Frank, congratulations for wonderful galeries. Looking at a picture did not mean only admiring a landscape, but the way of taking the photo, composition and lighting are sending a message in a such expresive manner. I love black and white photos and therefore I found your site, but also the other photos revealed a reconfortant view. I love your work. I actually didn't check out other pictures until recently. I stumbled upon your page by doing a search for Newburyport photos. After seeing your galleries I found them quite ironic. I'm from Newburyport, grew up there. Now I reside in Arizona for school, vacation in Maine, my boyfriend is from Colorado, and I spent months in Spain. I have pictures from all, but nothing as stunning. Your website is just all too familiar. Keep up the good work.

You're a GREAT photographer. You have exactly the aesthetic I look for. You take the photos I TRY to take! I am familiar with that area too, and I love it. I taught for awhile at McIntosh College in Dover NH, though I live in San Francisco. Frank: Came home and tried some of the new Photoshop techniques we discussed; i.e., signing your name at the bottom of photo; assign profile, etc. what a great NAA meeting last night. I am really impressed with your work. Looked at your site and recognized a lot of my territory--you made it look beautiful.. and your prints looked just like the screeen.... Hello Frank, Very nice work. Perhaps a little hint, if yo let me of course. When you do an unsharp mask AFTER resizing your images, they come out better (more contrast and sharper) on the net. I found out when I had 1.000 images already done. I had to do them all over again. Very pleasant when people are creating beauty.

Frank...really enjoyed your photos. My Ancestors are from Newbury Mass. My name is Lunt. Just curious, have you ever photographed any of the cemetaries. Since the name Lunt is one of the founding fathers I wondered if you had seen any. I have never been there and probably won't ever get there as I live in NM and don't have tons of money for big trips.
