Hello. Just wanted to leave you a message that I've put you in my favorites as I enjoy your work so much. I look forward to seeing more and visiting often. Great job... :)

Hi,
I was reading your comment on Coleen's image of the Marine Marching Band concerning the absences of the red stripe on some of the men's trousers. Only Nco's and officers are allowed to wear the red strip on their trousers. The red strip represents the blood that Marines have shed for their country..G O'Dell

You've got my curiosity going full tilt...Why were Neptune and his turtle blindfolded for the sand sculpture festival? It made for great photos. All I can think of is that there was a ceremony after the sculptures were completed, for which Neptune was unblindfolded. Has me really intrigued!

The "Dragan" action doesn't really do any one thing... There are so many variables that you can adjust when running the action in Photoshop, you can end up with very different results. Most often it is used on portraits to create a very different, interesting look. I've only played around with it a little bit, so I can't really explain everything that it does, or is capable of doing.

Here is a link to a known pbase gallery, that contains many different images that were "draganized":http://www.pbase.com/photofixer/draganizer_action

You can download the action itself at:
http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm (scroll down the page)

And here is a discussion on the dpreview forum about it:
http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1006&message=11104811

And last, but not least is the guy's website:

Thanks for your nice comments.
Millennium Park is located: from north to south, Randolph Street to Monroe Street, from east to west, Columbus Drive to Michigan Ave. The biggest attraction in Millennium Park is the Cloud Gate Sculpture. It's absolutely beautiful:http://www.pbase.com/tianphoto/the_bean
The apark was build above the Randolph Train Station and Grant Park Garage. This park cost the city $500 million.
You will love the park when you see it by yourself. Tian

Hi, thanks for visiting my galleries, and your kind comments. And yes, I do believe I'm hooked already on the "PAD" thing. I used PScs "sparingly" on the first PAD image, just boosted the saturation a tad and cropped slightly.

Hi virginiacoastline, thanks for the visit to my galleries.
Re the picture you left a comment on,http://www.pbase.com/image/39896455. I fell off a ladder, or rather left dangling from a ladder, at work. The arm managed to get a decent bruise from hitting it. The bruise looked good so I posted it on PBase. I was suprised by the ammount of replies the pictures got, so realy I got the sympathy I was after, LOL.
I'm off for a browse through your pics now. Happy snapping. TREV.

Thank you for the visit --- i must say your comments are most interesting, well maybe what i mean is most intersting which photos you commented on... i do agree, the one photo does seem dark--it is not your monitor--- but sometimes it is difficult to get the right lighting--- as you may tell, i love to play in Photoshop--- i have yet to buy my perfect digital camera, after having invested so much in a normal SLR--- but, i try--- I do enjoy pbase--- and love to see what others have done--- and when it strikes me--- i am apt to leave a message... hope to stop by and see your work, again!!

Wow, thank you for the very nice comment! I was having a bad day ( financing school brings head aches ) and your kind words really cheered me up. Its nice to see that someone enjoys my work, its sometimes hard explaining my bizarre work to my parrents ;0 I really like alot of your pictures especially "meet my sun" (gross but hilarious, reminds me of some of my friends here!), "beauty shop" (this one made me laugh out loud!), "mirror2 self portrait" (great use of lines color and texture!) and "january 15" (just plain cool!). I also like the funny narritives that you add to most of your photos. They really make the pictures come to life!

thanks,

I found your pics thru a comment you posted on one of my Birder friend's gallery. Saw you were from VA & had to check your pics out. You have the "eye" which I don't. I envy people like you. Beautiful & creative. I primarily take pics of birds, flowers, nature, etc. P.S. I live in Virginia Beach.

:-) I loved your comment in my guestbook--you obviously share my sense of humor! :-) (And I must say--you have a knack for capturing intimate moments with unsuspecting groceries, ;-))

Seriously, though--I really enjoyed mousing through your galleries today... I love seeing the world through other people's eyes! One of my favorite things is going shooting with another photo buddy--and then comparing shots at the end of the day. It's like we went to totally different places--or, if we're shooting people--as I did on Sunday--it's truly amazing how differently we captured the same poses. Thanks for showing us the world through YOUR eyes! :-)

(And stay away from baby corn...if the mama's near, she might attack... ;-))

Thanks for all the moral support in my PoTD efforts. Steve is watching like a hawk. Still, notice he hasn't posted since 25 March. Just ordered some new Photoshop for work computer and until I get it sorted, I'm afraid I will vary between photographic constipation and diorreha. Desperate to get them ut on the day but can't and then whoosh - all there for the world to see on the weekend when I get to a PC with image editing and transfer capabilities. Should all be fixed by next week though. All the same, thanks for your paitence and still having the interest ot browse every couple of days.

Take care for now

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner, but I don't check my messages here very often. The answer to your question is, the best PSE lessons, are at www.eclecticacademy.com and the teacher is Sara. Just look thru the curriculum, and pick out her lessons, start with From The Ground Up.
If you want to e-mail me directly for detailed information and pictures, janec3@mac.com
This is the best way for me to learn, and now I feel as if I can do almost anything basic now. You will almost become addicted to PSE!
It is so much fun!
Your pictures are really nice,

Hello,

I loved your pics, very very nice composition. IMHO, you should switch over to a DSLR, not just because you will get better pics, the camera in the right hands (as yours) would make astounding photos. Thank you for your comments.
Gary Robertshaw17-Jan-2004 03:56
Hi, you have some very nice galleries, and many of your shots show your ability to make an interesting photo by using the right composition and viewpoint. The bubble gum machines is one example, but there are many more throughout your galleries, and your 'favorites' gallery photos are all nicely done. We would welcome your participation in the Yahoo uzi group photo of the week and other galleries.
