not sure about how many people actually read these things but i'm wondering if anyone els has had much trouble with this camera. As far as image quality, for a P+S it's great, but only during sunlit hours. My biggest problem, perhaps a major defect in this particular camera, is that in dark environments this camera FAILS HORRIBLY. I basically get the shutter to catch the flash maybe once every 4th or 5th shot! Also the flash photography from this thing is COMPLETELY inconsistent! If i don't get a black frame when trying to get the shutter to catch the flash, the images are frequently over or underexposed. I'll soon be posting a session on my INBOX.

I did much research before buying a portable digital camera.
I looked at the Canon sd450 and several others in the same style and size. I had many criterias and most cameras fell short of it except the Sony dscw50.

My criterias were :
1. pocket portable (comparable to the canon)
2. a viewfinder (to take pictures on very sunny days)
3. large lcd screen (so I can view pictures taken with good detail.)
4. very good ...

more information you find on . . . . . . . http://www.redopinion.com/digital-camera/category/sony/cybershot-dsc-w50/
